Who reviews this site
CAMS Cert Prep is published and reviewed by Urban Algorithm LLC. Review means checking every fact against the issuing body's own page before it goes live, not adding an opinion on top of someone else's summary. We do not claim to hold CAMS, CGSS, CFCS, CFE, or any ICA qualification, and we do not sell a course, a bootcamp, or a question bank for any of them. The authority this page stands on is the sourcing process below and the fact that we have nothing to sell you.
CAMS Cert Prep is not affiliated with ACAMS, the International Compliance Association, ACFCS, or ACFE. Credential names are used descriptively to identify the exams we compare.
Where the numbers come from
Fees, eligibility rules, exam formats, and recertification cycles are taken from the issuing body: acams.org for CAMS and CGSS, int-comp.org for the ICA AML ladder, acfcs.org for CFCS, and acfe.com for CFE. Every figure on the site carries the source it came from and the date we checked it, sitting next to the number rather than buried in a footnote.
We do not reprint a competitor's compiled fee table. Where a body's page could not be fetched directly, we say so on the figure itself. The CAMS and CGSS numbers are the clearest case: acams.org answered every direct request with a bot challenge, so those cells are corroborated across several independent sources that quote the same ACAMS page rather than read from it. That is a weaker standard than the direct reads behind the ICA, CFCS, and CFE numbers, and we label it as weaker instead of flattening the difference.
What we do when sources disagree
A cell stays empty rather than becoming a guess. The CGSS exam fee is published in at least three mutually incompatible forms across secondary sources, so we ship no CGSS exam fee at all. The CFCS question count and passing score are not on the ACFCS exam page and the secondary sources conflict, so those stay empty too. ACFE prices its membership through an interactive country-based calculator instead of a flat number, so we report no single CFE membership figure and no CFE all-in total.
Any total we build ourselves, such as a first-year or three-year all-in cost, is labeled as our own derived figure and shows the components it was built from. The ICA courses are priced in pounds, and we publish them in pounds; converting them to dollars would invent a number the body never published.
How current this is
The newest verified fact on this site is dated . That date is computed from the site's own guides, credential pages, cost matrix, and salary data at build time, not typed in by hand, so it moves on its own as pages are rechecked. Our target review window is 90 days; rather than promise a cadence we cannot prove to you, we date each figure so you can see exactly how old it is and decide for yourself.
The cost statistics page is this site's own data study: every figure on it is computed at build time from the sourced cost matrix, never hand-typed.
